Q: What happens if there are dietary restrictions or allergies? Answer: If you have dietary restrictions, allergies, or medical conditions, it’s important to inform us at the time of booking. While we will do our best to accommodate these needs, we cannot guarantee full accommodation due to the nature of third-party food establishments. Please remind us of any allergies before consuming food during the tour.
Q: How much alcohol is included during the tour? Answer: All guests are guaranteed at least one half-glass of wine or beverage at each restaurant or tasting room we visit. Depending on the tour and location, additional drinks may be available for purchase at your discretion.
Q: What happens if I arrive late to a public tour? Answer: For public tours, if you arrive after the tour start time, you are responsible for locating the group on your own. The guide will not provide missed information or food for latecomers.
Q: Do your tours still operate in rainy weather? Answer: Yes! We run our tours rain or shine. We recommend that guests bring their own umbrellas or raincoats if necessary. In the rare event of extreme weather, we will notify you and offer rescheduling options, but otherwise, the tour will continue as planned.
Q: What are your cancellation and rescheduling policies for tours? Answer: Tickets are non-refundable but can be rescheduled to another available tour date within 12 months of the original booking. Requests for rescheduling must be made at least three weeks before the tour date. Please note that all gift certificates are non-refundable.
Q: Are tips included in the price of the tour? Answer: No. Gratuities for tour guides are not included in the tour price. However, they are included for the restaurant & tasting room staff. A 20% tip is standard for the tour guide.
Q: What should I do if I don't know the exact size of my group yet? Answer: It’s common not to know the exact number of participants when planning a group tour. We recommend booking based on your best estimate and adjusting the size as you get closer to the tour date. The more accurate the count, the better we can secure enough space at our popular partner restaurants, ensuring a smooth experience for your group.
Q: Do I need to provide my own transportation to the tour starting point? Answer: Yes, the tour price does not include transportation to or from the starting and ending points of the tour. However, if transportation is required during the tour, we may arrange for it at an additional cost. All of our tours are walking tours. Once our guests arrive, the walk between each destination stop is very short.
Q: What happens if I lose or damage personal belongings during the tour? Answer: You are solely responsible for your personal belongings throughout the tour. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or theft that may occur during the tour.
Q: Do your tours accommodate special medical conditions? Answer: We request that you inform us of any medical conditions that may affect your participation in the tour. For extreme conditions, we may ask you not to attend the tour to ensure your safety. In such cases, you will receive a full refund.
Q: Are there any extra fees for private corporate tours? Answer: Yes, for corporate tours we have a coordination fee for groups larger than 12. Please contact us for more details and customized pricing.
Q: Can I purchase gift certificates for tours? Answer: Yes, we offer gift certificates. However, availability for peak season tours (August - October) is limited, and we cannot guarantee available dates. If we close for more than 3 weeks, your gift certificate will be extended accordingly.
Q: How much walking is involved in your food and wine tours? Answer: Each tour is designed with a comfortable balance of walking and eating. On average, the total walking distance is less than half a mile. The goal is to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience without overwhelming participants, making our tours ideal for guests of all fitness levels.
Q: Do you send a proposal for corporate or private group tours? Answer: Yes, we provide customized proposals for private or corporate group tours. We will send you menus and options for your review. Once you've selected your preferred tour, we will issue a formal invoice and contract upon request to confirm your booking.
Q: Will there be enough food during the tour? Answer: Absolutely! Our tours are known for offering ample food, ensuring that you’ll enjoy a satisfying meal throughout the experience. Starting in 2024, we will also offer lighter appetizer options for guests who have dinner plans afterward. Our goal is to provide a customized experience that meets your needs.
Q: Do I need to pay extra for larger groups on tours? Answer: Yes, larger groups are subject to coordination fees, which vary depending on the group size. These fees are one-time charges based on the total number of participants. Additional fees may apply for Saturday tours and evening group tours. Please fill out the pricing form to see all fees and total cost.
Q: Will there be changes to the tour itinerary? Answer: Tour itineraries may change due to unforeseen circumstances such as restaurant closures or availability issues. You will be made aware of these changes right away. We will adapt the tour to offer a comparable experience, but no refunds will be issued for these changes. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.
Q: What is the minimum number of guests required for your public tours? Answer: For most public tours, we require a minimum of 3 guests to operate. The only exception is our Sausalito tour which only requires a minimum of 2 guests. If the minimum guest count is not met, you will be notified at least 3 days in advance. You will have the option to switch to another available tour, opt for a private tour (for an additional fee), or receive a full refund.
